
The area most associated with the legend is Nottinghamshire. Robin's feud with the Sheriff of Nottingham brought him in to the city, yet it was in the nearby Sherwood Forest that Robin Hood's expanding band of fugitives lived, worked, married, raised families, died and were buried.
